Practice Manager

I have worked in primary care administration and management for over 20 years.  In 2011 I moved into general practice, first in Brighton and then in 2012 I joined Cranleigh Medical Practice as Deputy Practice Manager. In 2015 I successfully completed the AMSPAR Diploma in Primary Care and Health Management and the ILM Diploma in Leadership and Management. In July 2017 I was promoted to Practice Manager.

I am thoroughly enjoying my new role and am looking forward to working with the practice to develop our services over the coming months and years.  There are challenging and exciting times ahead for the NHS and at Cranleigh Medical Practice will be working hard to ensure we provide the best possible service for all our patients.

Assistant Manager (Operations)

I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a BSc in Biomedical Science. After leaving University I worked for the police service before joining Cranleigh Medical Practice in 2015 as Administration Manager. I was promoted to Assistant Manager (Operations) in 2017. I assist the Practice Manager in the day to day running of the practice, and supervise the administration teams.

Administration

Ms Carol (Agnes) Dunkley (f)

Carol is our Systems Coordinator and manages all the IT systems for us. She makes sure that all our systems are up to date, secure and reliable.  She also runs various queries on our databases to support the work of clinicans. 

Reception

Our team of receptionists are the first point of contact for all our patients and visitors.  They welcome patients to the practice and help to orientate people around the building. They make appointments for our patients with the appropriate healthcare professional and in order to do this they may ask you a few questions which you are not obliged to answer but may help them.  They deal with prescription enquiries and assist with the processing of non-NHS services.  All patient-related documents received in the practice are scanned onto patient records by our receptionists. 

Each day they deal with people who can be sick, tearful, distressed or agitated and they do so with care and compassion. 

Secretaries

We have a team of 4 secretaries working behind the scenes in our practice office. They process our prescriptions on a daily basis, inform patients of their test results and can act as liaison between our patients and their doctor. In addition they carry out a large amount of administration work to keep the practice running smoothly.

Each secretary works closely with their own doctor and can be contacted via our main telephone number option 2 (available between 9:00 and 3:00, Monday to Friday).
