18th January 2021

Over the last two weeks in the Village Hall (and previously in Haslemere) well over 500 of our patients have had their Covid vaccine. This is just under half of our 1200 patients aged 80 or over.
With 100’s more booked for the coming week the vaccination programme is really making progress.
The whole team here at Cranleigh Medical Practice is contributing, from sorting out lists of people to call, making the calls and booking appointments. Then our doctors and nurses have been administering the vaccine as well. All this while we have been maintaining our ‘Business as Usual’ service.
We haven’t finished making those calls yet so still no need to worry if you haven’t heard. For the few that we don’t have any contact phone number we will be writing letters.
Covid Clinics up and running again tomorrow, Tuesday 19th January at the Village Hall.

15th January 2021

Today has seen a steady stream of patients being vaccinated in the Village Hall. Our doctors have been working there and all reports are that it is running seamlessly. They say how lovely it is to be able to be part of the team delivering such a worthwhile service.

We have been told that more vaccines are arriving for next week so staff are back on the phones calling our patients again.

Only when we have contacted all patients aged 80 and over will we be able to consider moving down the list. Some patients fear they may have been missed but as we haven’t finished calling everyone yet don’t worry, even if your friend, neighbour or relative of a similar age has had their call.

We will let you know when we have completed one particular group and are moving onto the next. But please, rest assured, even if for some reason you do get missed (for example if we had the wrong phone number for you) it won’t mean that you cannot have your vaccine. We will still be able to book you in.

14th January 2021

The Village Hall has been a hive of activity today vaccinating patients from Cranleigh and the surrounding area.

Appointments are now all booked, with more due for next week; not sure which days yet but as soon as we know we will be on the phones again contacting more of our patients aged 80 and over.

Covid Vaccination Programme Update - 13th January 2021

All appointments on Thursday and Friday are now fully booked.  Staff are still phoning to book for Saturday evening and for Sunday.

As we are working to such tight timescales you may be called up until about 7:00 in the evening so do not be alarmed if you get a call from the practice at that time.

Still no news on the next deliveries but as soon as we know, we will let you know and more bookings will be made.

Currently bookings are still very strictly for people aged 80 and over, no exceptions I’m afraid.

Covid Vaccination Programme Update - 12th January 2021

The vaccine centre in the Village Hall will be open this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening.

Our staff are busy calling people to book their appointments and will continue until all the slots are booked.

If you do not hear from us please don’t worry; there will be more clinics but we don’t, as yet, have dates.

If you have an appointment please arrive on time, not too early or late.  Car Parking is in the Co-Op Car Park and there are already lots of signs up to show where to go.

Please also be aware that things can change at very short notice and are outside of our control.

Covid Vaccination Programme Update - 11th January 2021

As promised – further details on the Cranleigh Village Hall vaccination site.

We now know that we have about 300 vaccines this week for Cranleigh Medical Practice patients.  Staff from the practice are today starting to call patients who are aged 80 and over.  If we have the details of a family member on the patient's record we will try that as well, assuming the patient has given consent in the past.  We are also doing our best to group households together if all concerned are eligible at this time.  Please be patient as we cannot call you all at once!  If you miss the call do not worry, there will be other opportunities and you will not be forgotten.

The message remains – Don’t call us, we’ll call you.

As yet we don’t know when the next delivery will be arriving but when we do know we will update everyone.

In the meantime, please bear with us if we are unable to answer the phones as quickly as we would all like; we are doing our best!

Thank you for your continued support.
